Introduction

I'm the kind of Sims 3 player who plays with epic lifespans. As such, I have come to find that as time passes and sims get more skilled, they tend to earn more money. This became especially true when I found out just how much money a sim can make from writing books. Those royalties really pay off! I soon came to desire a residence worthy of a sim who generally made half a million or more simoleons every week. I wasn't happy with any that I could find, especially since I only had The Sims 3 Starter Pack at the time, and most lots on the Exchange used content from many more expansions and stuff packs than I had access to. So, on the assumption that there were other people out there with only the Starter Pack who may likewise be interested in custom lots, I decided to make my own lavish luxury mansion and share it on the Exchange. The Millionaire Manor is the result of that effort. It costs around a million simoleons to move in, and another estimated 8 to 10 thousand per week in bills.

Of course, this mansion is not limited to only those with the Starter Pack. If you have more expansions or stuff packs, you'll be able to remodel in more ways, but I hope you find the Millionaire Manor to be worthy of even the richest sim, regardless of which expansions you own. In fact, even if you only own the base game, very little content from the Late Night expansion and the High-End Lot Stuff Pack is used, so you should have no problems adding it to your game. I have done extensive testing and iterating over the past three months or so, with three different families living in the house in three different neighborhoods. I feel confident that this is the final version of the manor, but it's possible that I've overlooked something. Please leave a comment below if you notice any problem which you feel I should address. That said, I hope you enjoy my first custom lot for The Sims 3 as much as I enjoyed the process of creating it. And if you like it, please leave a recommendation on the Exchange. Thank you.
